How to merge skype with Microsoft account?

You can merge a Skype account you used to log into Skype via a Skype Name to a Microsoft account created using an email address.

To do this, just follow below steps:

1. Login using your Skype Name on the Microsoft website.
2. You will see a message saying that "Your Skype account is now a Microsoft account". Once you see the message, please click Next.
3. Enter the email you want to merge the Skype account with, and click Next.
4. Follow the steps.

IMPORTANT: Linking of two Skype accounts aside from the above stated scenario is not possible.

Unfortunately I don't get message saying that "Your Skype account is now a Microsoft account" (Step 2). Instead I've got common "My account" skype page without any messages. So I can't see the way further..

Follow below steps to merge your Skype account to a Microsoft account.

• Go to https://account.live.com.
• Enter your Skype name and password when prompted and then select Sign in.
• If your Skype account is not updated already, you will be notified to update your account. Select Next to continue.
• You will be asked to add an email to your account, and verify that email. (Use your Microsoft account's email address.)
• Congrats, your Skype account is now a Microsoft account.

On this step system told that the e-mail has skype already and asked to create a new one. So I did. Now I've got two different microsoft accounts with two different skype accounts :)

Since the accounts have their own Microsoft account linked to them, your best option now is to delete the account without your contacts in it. Therefore, you will only have one Skype account moving forward.
