Where is Skype Live Chat Support?

Where has the Live Chat Support for Skype gone?  Supposed to be 24/7 support. but now I only get Ask the Community.

Try as I might, there is no Live or Text Chat option any longer.

So there is no live chat?

What you have is a forum where you after some time can get answer eventually from Skype employees or other Skypers?

Live chat definitely exists.  Not all of the options route to live chat, as the Community of users and Skype support can address some of those options.  That is one of main reasons people are unable to locate it.   I just tried it out right now and I was able to bring up live chat without issue.  Some people have issues reaching live chat due to a compatibility issue with their device, issues with their browser, Internet connection restrictions, pop-up blocker, or some other security software restriction.

Ok... Text Support appears if I follow that selected set of steps, but that's also ridiculous.  So unless I'm experiencing a particular set of issues, support don't really want to hear from me?  Is that because they only have training and scripts for those scenarios?

Essentially, they want to make sure I can install the software, but don't care about me beyond that.  It's also sending users into a loop, because the issue I actually wanted addressed, the forum response was to shuffle me off to live chat, which wasn't available under the most logical route.

So the help system alienates the users who most need it, users whose problems are complex enough that they need live chat support, but can't find it because they don't follow random paths through the help topics and novice users that probably can't make sense of the system in the first place.

Wouldn't it be smarter to just have a direct live chat link?

Also, not forgetting the lag from when I posted this on the forums to actually receiving the first reply.  In that time.  I had to contact Microsoft by phone.  Who recommended I get on Microsoft general support rather than Skype support, who then gave me a direct link to live chat.

Thank you, now when I choosed the same option as you I also could see the link for "Text chat support"

Hello I need help getting into my skype account, the problem is basically this: when I try to sign into my account this screen comes up saying that there is a problem with my Microsoft account and I need to sign in to my Microsoft live account. I have done that and nothing seems wrong. can someone please help? I have an interview tomorrow over skype so this is very urgent.

Look I use and rely on Skype to talk to my boyfriend long distance I cannot video. Chat him I can only see that he is online it won't even let both of us call one another just keeps connecting . Please tell me asap what is happening I have a Samsung 8 and he has a Mac we never have issues and for the past 3 days we have been trying to figure out what's going on
