Can't make a call to a contact who is online

I can't seem to get through to a contact who is online. I can reach them through an Android device, my iPhone shows them as online (but it rings twice then tells me they're not available), and my iMac shows me this contact is pending confirmation request (its a contact I've had for years). What is wrong and how do I resolve this? Thanks!

Hello bustercl,

Please try to logged out from Skype on other devices as we troubleshoot the issue.

1. On your iMac, resend the contact request to the problem contact.

2. Call the said contact using your Skype for Android and informed that you have resend the contact request and accept it.

3. Once contact request has been accepted, try to call using your iMac and see if the issue will be the same.

If the issue still persists, provide us the Skype version installed on your iMac device following below information:

Skype for Mac (classic Skype - 7.59)

​Sign in to Skype > In the menu bar, click Skype > About Skype

The new Skype for Desktop (Windows, Mac, and Linux - 8.13)
Select your profile picture > Scroll down and select About
