Skype time limit

Hello,
Due to the coronavirus outbreak, I am forced to use skype for every possible meeting that I will do daily. My question is: Is there any time limit on the Skype to skype video calls? Also, is there a monthly  time limit on skype to skype video calls or skype to skype group video calls?

Thanks for relating your concern. My name is Didi, a Skype Independent Advisor and consumer of Microsoft products here to assist you.

Group video calls are subject to a fair usage limit of 100 hours per month with no more than 10 hours per day and a limit of 4 hours per individual video call. Once these limits have been reached, the video will switch off and the call will convert to an audio call.

Thanks a lot for your answer. In another post, I saw the following answer:

Q: Thanks but does that mean 2 hrs. for individual calls, or a total of 2 hrs. in a definite time, e.g. 24 hrs.

A: This is applicable for individual and group calls. For example, you’ve already reached the 2 hour video calling, the call will be disconnected and you will need to dial it again for another 2 hours. That’s how it goes.

From what I can see, this answer is different from the one that you gave me. Also, appart from the group video calls which have the limit of 100hours per month etc , the video calls that I am doing with another skype user (only one), do they also have a monthly or daily time limit apart from the 2 hours which then I have to re-call?

I verified with my team and they said, both parties are allowed to have the call time limits I mentioned in my initial response. That piece of info was from Skype's Fair Usage policy under Group Video Calling. I hope I was able to answer your question.

One to one video calls should have no set time limit beyond the ~24-hour session timeout. However, If screen sharing is used during a one to one video call, that part of your call will be converted into a group video call.

Hello again, Pete. Thanks for patiently waiting. To answer your question, there are actually no restrictions on one-on-one video calls on Skype. In the past, some users were able to do a video call for 24 hours straight, more or less. In group video calls though, there are limits. I apologize if my second response confused you.

Thanks everyone for your Answers. I plan to use skype a lot these days and I want to organise my calls in order to be able to use it without passing the limits.

I have a group of 6 coworkers that need to conference for a 3 to 4 hour meeting. Does this mean a group total charge of 18 to 24 hours to my account or is it a 3-4 hour charge against each users account?

The answer is not clear Yet. Like Zoom offer 40 minutes call for the free (Basic) version, similarly how much time skype offer for the free version per day?.
