Sennheiser HANDMIC DIGITAL on IPhone / IPad

Hello Skype Community,

a couple of months ago I started this tread.

Im using the Sennheiser Handmic Digital Microphone with the Apogee App for interviews without issues. So I want to use it also with Skype, but the Microphone won't  show up in the selection bar. I did some pictures of the Skype Application and the Microphone in the old tread that I linked on top. 

I hoped for some hardware compatibility  patches in the last weeks, now on 2020 the Microphone still won't connect with Skype.

I hope you can find a solution for my Problem. Thank you in advice.

Checking the thread included with your post, it appears that this is an issue with the compatibility of the Microphone you are using with the Skype application. We are still awaiting updates from our developers to look into making the specific device to be compatible with Skype.

While we are waiting for the updates from the team, what I could suggest is to post this idea as well to our user voice site. This is for other users that has the same concern to vote in order for our developers to hasten the implementation of the compatibility feature you want with the Skype app. Here is the direct link of our user voice site where you can post your suggestion: https://skype.uservoice.com/forums/914527-welcome-to-skype-ideas

I also suggest to try checking with Sennheiser as well if they would be able to reach out to our team as well for making the capability of this device be possible to use with the Skype application.

thank you for your reply. I contacted Sennheiser with this issue and did a user invoice as you can see here. Hopefully there will be a solution in future.
