A pleasure to help you.
Unfortunately, in this new version of Skype, it is not possible to export a conversation.
In these cases, we always recommend that you copy and paste the chat in a file or in the notebook.
As a suggestion, I recommend leaving your comment requesting this functionality or leaving your criteria. In this way, you would be supporting the voting group that other users are requesting this function.

I am Vijay, an Independent Advisor. I am here to work with you on this problem.
Latest Skype doesn't provide the Chat Export facility. This is one of the highest demanding features.
As a workaround, Click on that contact on left side to display all conversations on right side. Do CTRL+A to select all messages in the conversation. CTRL+C to copy and CTRL+V to paste in Word.
You will not get good formatting but you will have chats.
But if messages are limited in number in your conversation, below is the process to get excellent formatting.
On right side in conversation, right click on any message and click Select Messages.
Now you will notice circles against all messages on right side.
You will need to select all circles or limited circles to export. This is where my point of message is limited in number as there is no option to select all circles. You will have to select circle one by one.
Now at the bottom, you have Copy enabled. Click that and now paste into Word.
Do let me know if you require any further help on this. Will be glad to help you.

This new Skype has totally broken the usual way of copying and pasting. There is no way, other than manually right clicking and choosing "select messages" and then selecting every message and then clicking copy, to save your conversations.
MS has made this highly requested function absolutely un-intuitive.

You can try this new Chat Export feature.
https://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA34894/how-do-i-export-my-skype-files-and-chat-history
This feature will allow you to download and save all the chat history currently available on the Cloud, i.e. up to 2 years old history.
Be aware that the download may take quite a long time. With the tests I did on my Windows 7 computer it took about 40 minutes to download the chat history file.
