Saving Pictures in Skype Coming in as Processed

I am running Skype version 8.68.0.96 on my iMac with Big Sur installed. Just recently,, when saving a picture someone sends me it is coming over as processed.jpeg, prior it was defaulting to a number.

Just to clarify, is the issue you have at the moment related to how the filename is saved on your computer when you download a picture from Skype? Before, was the file you saved shown as series of numbers instead of a jpeg?

I'm having the same issue that Rich is having... photo files used to save in this format: '1612487767809.JPEG' which is a unique file name. Now they all attempt to save as 'processed.jpeg' which is not unique and this will overwrite the previous photo unless I actively give it a new name... This is very tiresome.

same problem as reported almost a year ago.....

download all doesn't properly work anymore

image is saved as "processed.jpeg" so attempting to download all results in only 1 image, the last image in the group.

problem affects EVERY version of Skype 8.x (tested all the way back to Skype 8.9.0.1)

problem is on microsoft's skype servers...
