Remove phone contacts from Skype

Skype has added all my 2000+ phone contacts to Skype! now it is unusable for me. how can I remove phone contacts?

I too allowed Skype to sync my contacts during the install process on my new Galaxy S7, thinking they would only be my 21 SKYPE contacts.

Nope, I now have 3,000 contacts, culled I assume from Gmail, Yahoo or maybe my phone's internal contacts. I've can find no way to delete them.

I posted this today, 2018Apr24. Let's see if someone can offer me and Russnlp some advice.
