Receiving calls on kindle fire

Hi

I have Skype on my Kindle Fire HD and I can not hear when someone calls me, it goes straight to a missed call.

I can make calls out.

I have checked all settings and have spoken at length with Amazon. I have the most up to date version.

Following the conversation and all checks completed on the device Amazon advised that the the issue is with Skype.

Please advise.

I am sorry to hear that you are having some issue with your Kindle device. When you said that you have the most up to date version? Are you referring to your Kindle OS build version? May I know also what version build right now?

Have you also try to uninstall and reinstall the Skype application and try to test if the issue will persist?

Thank you for responding. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Skype but to no avail.

The amazon people said I had the most recent updates on my kindle.
I have received calls in the past with no problem.
