Not receiving any notifications for Skype on iPhone

I'm using version 8.1.2 for Skype on an iPhone 6S+ that has iOS 10.3.2

Both the app and the phone are updated to the latest version. I've also checked that notifications are turned ON in the app and allowed in the phone system, but I'm still not receiving any sort of notifications. 

I'm not getting message previews on my lock screen, even when I'm using the phone but not necessarily on the skype app- I'm not getting any banner notifications either. The only way I know someone sent me a message is to manually go in the app and see that someone messaged me hours ago but I wasn't able to recieve on time because I didn't get any notifications. This is also the same for the other contact. 

I don't want to be constantly checking the app just to see if I'm getting any messages when the notification system should be working.

I don't know if this is a bug or if I'm doing something wrong?

I have this problem too, i don't get notification, when i get them there is no sound and also the reply from notifications will not be sent till i open skype

I am in France and I have this problem too, since I uploaded the new version. And since then, I have not more notifications (sound and written) on my Ipad. It works on my PC computer. It is a really big problem for me, I can't use Skype when I need it. Please, do something !

And the new version is really awful.

Hi all! 

Today for some reason, I'm finally getting notifications with sound on my phone. 

The notification system seems to be fixed now.

There were no new updates released by microsoft for Skype, and I haven't changed any settings on my phone or in the app. 

Hopefully this issue has been resolved for everyone too!

I am having a Problem too with my iPod too. It seems it won't let me see my notifications also.  I Don't know why....please someone help me on this problem...

I have this problem too.  Please fix the notification issues.  It makes your product unusable in many instances.

While a work around it is not really a solution. Skype for Windows 10 and IOS has been an unmitigated disaster since they released their new apps for both OSes

Many people have this problem (on ipad too) since several weeks. No answer from Skype. Upgrade 8.2 does not solve the problem. And many others problems...

I just now changed my Skype notifications from a banner format to a alert, and I'm actually getting notifications. (I'm also on iOS 9, if that helps.) I hope this helped!

Thank you but unfortunately no.

No notifications at all on ipad and iphone since june upgrade. Even 8.5 does not work (ios 10.3.3).

please fix this huge problem...
