Latest Skype update for Window 8 June 2017

What do i need to do to get my Skype back?

Hello GillesMc Cann,

To clarify on your concern, are you using Windows Phone 8 or Windows 8 Desktop? Due to a change in Skype infrastructure moving from peer to peer to the cloud, certain Skype platforms and version will no longer work. Below are the list of Platforms that will no longer work with Skype.

  • Skype on TV
  • Windows Phone 8 & 8.1
  • Windows RT
