I'd like to change my skype id

Hi

For some reason my skype id is such: live:3aa2fbc60105f53a.     It's unpractical, hence I'd like to change it. 

Can I change it? 

If I cannot, should I then create a new skype id?  How can I do it?

Hi Tuula,

I'm sorry to say, but you cannot change your Skype ID, it is permanent. You can only change your Skype Display Name. The ability to change the Skype ID is a highly requested function. I encourage you share your suggestions with the Skype engineers so they can take it into consideration.
