I cannot see or be seen on a Skype video call .. audio works, and connection is good

I cannot see or be seen on video during a sky video call on my Mac .. but also on my iPhone .. audio, and connection are both good ...

I am so sorry to hear that you are having an issue using Skype on Mac. If I may ask, what is the current version number of the Skype app you are using as well as the Mac OS? You can check the current Skype app version number by going to the Skype app SETTINGS > HELP & FEEDBACK. Can you uninstall the current Skype app, and restart your Mac before reinstalling the Skype app? https://go.skype.com/mac.download

For testing purposes, please also launch your Safari browser and then log in to your account using this link https://web.skype.com/ then try to video to see if you are able to see and be seen during a video call.

P.S. I downloaded Skype again, to get the latest update. It is the same on my iPhone when I try to use Skype, so it is not a machine error .. but Skype for some reason.

It appears that there is now some unexplained issue with video calling to and from Philippines. Several other users have reported similar issue.

I don't know if this is caused by some restrictions imposed by the local Philippines ISP providers, or problems with regional Microsoft servers.

I'm located in Thailand and I seem to have the same problem. Not even the echo service is working -- seems to be no connection to Skype today.

Yes . the audio is perfect, but the wallpaper remains and the video does not appear .. for them or I. But both of us can see ourselves in our cams, so they are working .,.
