How to retrieve skype messages on android

Hello

I need to see skype messages which I have send to my friend in August-December 2016.

Somehow Skype has 'lost' all these conversations which contain our financial dealings.

Now, when I am able to pay him off and I forgot how much was it I need these archive data desperately, please. 

I installed new system on my PC in December 2017 so I lost my Skype archive there but I believe I may still have some files on my android mobile phones with Skype.

Any help is greatly appreciated. 

If I knew I am going to lose my data on Skype I would never use it in the first place. BAD EXPERIENCE.

I understand the importance of retrieving your messages, unfortunately, there is no longer an option to retrieve the record of your chat history from August-December 2016.

Since we already moved to cloud infrastructure, the old data cannot be carried over to the new platform.

Also, all your the instant messages you’ve sent and received in your conversations, as well details of any calls you've had on Skype are stored in the cloud for 2 years, so you can access it when you're signed in to Skype on any device.

It would've been nice if you had stated how! If you try to scroll, it crashes after you go too far back. I need the whole chat myself, to Aug. 2017

Updating the program is not going to solve my issue. I need to download the chat into a text file or some kind of file. I can see the conversation in Skype I need to export it. The whole chat.

We regret that there is no option to export the entire chat history. Messages can only be copied per line using desktop.

If you have access to a Windows 10 PC, you could also try to view the history there and possibly export the data with 3rd party tools as I briefly covered in another post. However I am doubtful that 2 years of history is available on every Skype account. I have had a Skype account for over a decade and not much more than a year is in the cloud. If you have no other options, it is still something you can try.

Actually no, it crashes after going back a few months. Tried it on three different PCs
