How do i get my skype credit back?

I have the same question, Susan. I have Skype credit in a Microsoft account I opened years ago for personal use. I also have a 365 account including Teams, so I don't need to transfer anything over. But nowhere does Microsoft detail how I can get my Skype credit refunded! And there doesn't seem to be any way to actually contact them!

No refunds are offered for remaining credit balances. All Skype users who sign into Teams or the Skype web portal with their Skype account can consume their credit. These personal Teams Free accounts will contain any remaining Skype credit in the Skype dialer that appears after ~May 5, 2025. The credit will remain to be consumed by you after Skype retires.

So despite all of Microsoft's wealth they won't pay back the Skype credit that many of us took out in good faith.

How the rich get richer. A disgrace.

You purchased Skype credit with the understanding that it is generally not refundable. You purchased it to be used on Skype phone services that will still be available in a Skype dial pad on the Skype web portal and in Teams after Skype retires. Those are two separate outlets to consume the credit. That meets and exceeds any commitments. All purchases ceased on April 3, 2025. They are not making any extra funds, so I do not see how they are getting any richer or how that is disgraceful. They are only holding you to your end of the commitment.
