How do call from Saudi Arabia to the US?

Hello All,

I am an expat in the KSA and I have recently subscribed to Skype so I can call using my cell phone back to the US.

What I have done:

  • Download the Skype App
  • Subscribed to Calling to the US for $3.00 per month
  • Open my app and I dial a number using 1-area code - prefix and the rest of the number. For example, 1-404-256-12345. O lee[ getting the number I entered is invalid which is not true.

What I think is the problem:

  • I am using the Skype App on my cell phone
  • I have a Saudi SIM card. I am not using my SIM Card from the US

I am wondering if I should use Magic Jack and dial directly from my landline.

I truly appreciate any help you can give me.

You should chat with a live agent from Skype Support on this issue.

Not all options will allow you to chat with a live agent. Select following one from the categories dropdown to get the option for chat.

Payments & purchases
Account, profile & sign-in
Privacy & security

On the next screen, you get the Chat link which you can click.
