Can join group video call on iPhone but not iPad

I used to be able to join a group video call on my iPad but now when I tap on the green “Join Call” button beside the name of the person that started the group call, I’m able to see myself and my camera/microphone settings but I am unable to join the group call.

When I do the exact same thing on my iPhone, I’m able to join the video group call.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled Skype on my iPad; I have tried restarting my iPad, I tried putting my iPad in Airplane mode and then restarting my iPad - nothing has worked.

I am sorry to hear that you are having an issue joining a group video call using your iPad. If I may ask, what is your current Skype app version as well as your IOS version? My current Skype version is 8.63.0.76 and my IOS version is 13.6.1.

I have the same Skype version and IOS version on both my iPad and my iPhone; however, Skype is not working on my iPad.  As mentioned, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it on my iPad and this did not fix the issue.

Yes - i can do one on one skype video calls on my ipad.

I see. I think this is a glitch on the latest version of the app that can only be fixed by the developers. I would recommend reporting this issue to Skype so that the developers will get notified, investigate it to find the root cause, and eventually provide a permanent fix in the next updates. To report this issue, kindly go to your Skype app SETTINGS > HELP & FEEDBACK > REPORT A PROBLEM.
