What can i do to fix my technical problem. When i do video call, i couldnt see the person i am talking to but i can hear him. Vice versa he can hear me but cant see my as well.

I'm having problem with my skype. When i do videocall i can hear the person im talking to but i couldnt see his video even though his cam is on and vice versa he can hear me but cant see my video too. I need help.

1. What type of device are you on? A computer, tablet, or mobile phone?

2. What is the exact version number of Skype installed on your device?

4. Is this happening to a specific contact?

5. Does the same behavior happens on Skype for Web: https://web.skype.com/

1. I tried it on my laptop, mobile phone and tablet. Its not working

2. Its 8.95 the latest version, before i update it it works perfectly fine

3. Yeah, i tried

4. Yes

5. Yes i also tried skype for web

It seems that there are no issues specific to your device/s but on the other end.

What about the other person's device?

Is this just happening with this contact only? Have you tried calling other contacts to help isolate the issue?

He is also using the same skype version as mine 8.95 he can contact his other friends. I can contact my friends too thru videocall.

Advise your contact to try this:

If your contact is using a Windows computer, try resetting the Skype local settings:

1. Open Task Manager and end the process of all Skype.exe
2. On your keyboard, press and hold Windows key + R to open the RUN box
3. Type %appdata%\microsoft and press Enter
4. Locate Skype for Desktop folder
5. Rename the folder to Skype for Desktop_old

It appears that there is now some unexplained issue with video calling to and from Philippines. Several other users have reported similar issue.

I don't know if this is caused by some restrictions imposed by the local Philippines ISP providers, or problems with regional Microsoft servers.
