Windows XP - how do i get rid of a worm entitled svchost.stealth.keylogger

this worm came in when i opened an email.  i cannot access the internet and i get a message from live platinum that says that this worm is trying to take my credit card information and redirect it to another website.

This is a fake antivirus program.  Suggest you carefully review the following link and note that this one is easy to fix compared to many of them according to posts by AlleciaFrye, MichaelSpano and ResidentX10:

Follow this steps to remove  live platinum


There may be some other issues on the computer. Check the following post also. 



In the black Command Window type
NETSH WINSOCK RESET and hit on enter.

If you get a message
“Sucessfully reset the Winsock Catalog. You must restart the machine in order to complete the reset.” then you are safe from the Trojan.Zeroaccess infection.

Check this one and check if you have Trojan.gen . 

This one is the location for Trojan.gen

C:\Windows\Installer\

Check it and please let us know the status. 

Check the folder C:\Windows\Installer\ inside that you can see one Hidden Folder with a Random name.
