remove java.trojan.downloader.openconnection.ai

Charter security suite has found this virus in my computer, the problem is that it can't delete it.  Charter security suite won't run in safe mode.

I have tried Microsoft Safety Scanner, Malicious Software Removal Tool, Malwarebytes & others in both normal & safe mode.  None of these tools

are able to find the virus.  I have been working on this for 2 weeks without any success.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks;

Answer

 Free third-party product “rescue disk” scanners.

These have decided advantages when it comes to dealing with stubborn infections.

This type of scanner runs from a bootable CD or flash drive – so it does Safe Mode one better by completely bypassing the operating system startup. This not only means that malware won’t have much chance of running interference (because it won’t be started up by the operating system); it also means that any potential impairment of the operating system itself won’t be a contributing factor in hindering the cleanup process.

Additionally, there’s no need to worry about conflicts with your installed antimalware product, because that won’t be started up either.

As many of the respective vendors have pointed out, this is the preferred strategy for cleaning up heavily-infected systems, or for dealing with malware that uses highly-evolved defensive components like rootkits.

None of these scanners need to be installed:

Each rescue scanner will miss things – because none of them will have a perfectly complete and up-to-date set of definitions; so you might need to use several of these rescue scanners, or something like the Shardana Antivirus Rescue Disk Utility, which creates a custom bootable CD or flash drive that includes multiple rescue scanners:
