it displays things I don't want half **** women etc.. have tried going into programs and deleting but not there in the browser.. Nortons does not pick this up but it tells you repeatedly that this is trying to attack my computer. I also bought a clean up of
registry program and that hasn't got rid of it either ..any suggestions.

Use one scanner at a time and during the scan close the browser..
after going through all the options suggested I downloaded free ccleaner and that worked..as I couldn;t find any of the address's on my browser etc and searched all the possibilities.. a friend arrived to tell me re the ccleaner and it worked immediately
and cleared out unwanted cookies etc as well ...it wasn;t in add ons or browser..so after two weeks of crazy ads and girls at top of my mail am pleased to report this got rid of it..
