Remove Tweakbit

Can not permanently delete TweakBit from Windows 10. Does not matter how many times I delete it and it says it is deleted, it reappears. Solution?

Try the free version of Malwarebytes. It's usually effective, but with adware there are no guarantees, unfortunately.

Malwarebytes removed my Win 10 driver update app.  Have contacted the Driver app. folks.  Waiting an answer.  Seems that these two apps are in mortal conflict.  Will update with results.

Added info.  I had removed the Tweakbit junk using the Malwarebytes.  Went with the Slimware DriverUpdate app.  The Malwarebytes also does not like the Slimware stuff.  The Tweakbit shortcuts are still on the All Apps list.  Trying to be tech savvy gets complicated after I/O.

Alexander,

Run <<Disk Cleanup>>and delete (at least) Temporary files, Offline webpages and Temporary Internet Files as this will reduce scanning times by security software –clear your cache, cookies, and history, press Ctrl-Shift-Delete – then shut down and restart your computer.

You may want to scan with the

JRT <<Junkware Removal Tool>>

along with Adwcleaner <<AdwCleaner>>

and Malwarebytes (free) (MBAM) <<https://www.malwarebytes.org/antimalware/>>

and finally, download and run (EEK) <<Emsisoft Emergency Kit>> select Enable PUPs Detection.

If want to make another check for any left over malicious files, you can run a scan with the following tools:

Run ESET Online (One-Time) scanner

<<http://www.eset.com/us/online-scanner/>>

SUPERAntiSpyware (SAS)

<<http://www.superantispyware.com/>> <== NEW! SUPERAntiSpyware Version 6.0

SUPERAntiSpyware just put up a Online Safe Scan at

<<http://www.superantispyware.com/onlinescan.html>> <== SUPERAntiSpyware Online Safe Scan, if you cannot install and/or run the current SUPERAntiSpyware
product due to an infection.
