What version of Windows are you using?

Update Microsoft Security Essentials and run a full system scan with it.

Did you installed any program before problem started?

If you no longer have the issue then that's great, however, if it continues see the following.

According to this earlier thread from a few days ago, that's due to malware that can be removed using the programs suggested in a post by Vijay_Verma marked as Answer.

https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-update/zupdate/a9569ff5-845a-4358-9532-452bfc99496c?messageId=3843434b-8ce7-4e50-b650-0d2cc7fef53a

If you scroll down through that thread, you'll see screenshots with exactly the same error message you indicated.

< EDIT > Oops, missed Smeed's earlier post regarding this same thread, but I'll leave this here just in case some future person with the problem misses it as well.

I get a zupdate message on my computer....yet all works well except I have to get rid of the zupdate in the canter of my screen.  It annoys me.   I don't want an update, just to get rid of the warning.
