remove "Ad-free Outlook"

How do i revert the the old web-based Outlook - with ads ?

I upgraded to Ad-Free Outlook and now every time I try to check my emails the browser (IE *AND* Chrome) refreshes every 20 seconds, making it near damned impossible to check my emails !

When i tried to upgraded I got some pathetically vague message about there being an issue and to try again later - when I try again later I get the same dumb-a**ed message about there being an issue and to try again later.

Ad free has nothing to do with the issue.  I suspect what is happening is that your account has been migrated to the new email system called outlook mail that all users are being migrated to.

You can verify this, if it says outlook mail (or outlook email) it is the new system.

As a first step to resolve the issue I would clear the browser cache/cookies

If you are using a browser to access your mail more often than not you can fix the problem you are having by clearing all the cache and cookies in your specific browser

*For Internet Explorer browser & MSN Butterfly: Press CTRL+SHIFT+DEL simultaneously and click Delete
*For Google Chrome: Press CTRL+SHIFT+DEL simultaneously and click Clear Browsing Data
*For Firefox: Press CTRL+SHIFT+DEL simultaneously and click Clear Now
*For Edge they are in settings (three dots>history>clear all settings)
(other browsers are similar)

If clearing the cookies & cache cache doesn't help answer these.

In order to help you effectively we need to know exactly what email system you are using.  You can see the differences here
Are you having problems accessing other accounts on the same computer?
Does the same problem exist when you use a different browser?
Does the issue persist on other computers?

That solution *might* have worked if I weas using 1 macyhine

But I am using 4 different machines, and get the same problem - I am using a Windows 8.1, Windows 10 plus 2 Ubuntu machines - all on different networks.

Clearing cache and history is the first thing I did - the result was completely stuff-all.

There has to be a way to downgrade back to the ad-based Outlook, as that is where Microsoft have royally screwed me.

Their "Ad-free Outlook" must have been put together by near-sighted chimps high on drugs.

Again I dont think this is machine specific, but rather account specific.  Once an account has been migrated to the new "outlook Mail" format there is no going back.  Microsoft is migrating around a million users a day to the new format.

All I know is that Microsoft have royally screwed me - all I want is a resolution !

I don't care if my profile is rebuilt from one of the Microsoft so-called geniuses - they screwed me, they can fix it !

As it is it is near impossible for me to check my damn emails

Since you have only been registered here two days you are probably unaware that this is a peer to peer site staffed mostly by volunteers who have little or no contact to MS.  I can only tell you what is.  WHy Microsoft does what it does is beyond me.

No worries Mate.  Those of us that do this get thick skinned pretty quickly.
