Skype chat works in Skydrive.com but not in Outlook.com

I'm happy to help you with your concern.
I understand that you cannot chat with your Skype and Facebook contacts thru Outlook.com but it works fine when you go to Skydrive.com.
To start off, kindly optimize your browser or use other browsers so we could determine if this is a browser related issue.
Please be informed that if you’re not using an updated browser, some parts of Outlook might not work and it might not display properly.

Which browsers are supported by SkyDrive, People and Outlook.com?
I would also like to ask you to use another computer to isolate the issue further.

Let me help you with this issue on not being able to access Skype using Outlook.com.
By the way, have you tried to sign in other user account on Outlook.com and check if the same issue persists? If not, please try to do so.

Thank you for getting back to us and providing additional information on the issue. We understand that you were unable to chat with your Skype and Facebook accounts in Outlook.com. Microsoft is aware that some users where having the same concern for the past days. We apologize for the inconvenience this matter have caused you. Please be informed that our Product Group were invetigating on the issue and working to fix the problem as quickly as they can.

Thank you for posting your concern here at Microsoft Community. I understand that you are having problems using Skype chat in Outlook, Calendar and People page. Did you already tried the intial troubleshooting steps given by Andreo Paulo_D? If not, kindly do so and see if the issue will still persist.
If the issue persists, we’d like you to provide us the answers to the following questions that I have enumerated below. These will help us to investigate your concern:
· Does the issue happen when using a different computer?
· Do other Outlook.com accounts encounter the same issue when using your computer?
· Does the same thing happen when you access your account from the same computer with a different browser?

Hi All!
Any update on this weird behavior? I can still chat with all my Skype contacts in SkyDrive, but not in Outlook.com.
I cleared my cache and I use IE10, automatically updated.

Skype is unavailable and can't be added by clicking "Add" link.
This is strange and I don't understand why it doesn't work the same way.

OK Folks! I sorted it out, finally ;-)
I did two things:
- Completed my Skype profile on https://secure.skype.com/portal/profile. I filled in stuff like language, country, etc. Is hould say: Your Skype account is 100% complete.
- I switched settings of my MS account (country and language) to United States, language EN-US.
I seems this service didn't get released for some regions.
