Message Failed Delivery

Hi. I tried to email an old friend of mine today and I received an error message saying that message failed to deliver to recipients. We exchanged emails many times before and I don't think the email account does not exist. Does this mean my friend blocked me? Thanks.

Thank you for replying to my query above.  The message didn't say much. I have copied the text below:


"This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification.

Delivery to the following recipients failed.

*** Email address is removed for privacy ***"
 
I am not sure why this is as I have exchange many emails with this friend over a few years. 
Is it that he has blocked my emails for some reason?

There are several reasons why you are receiving Delivery Status Failure or bounce message, here are some examples:

 

a. Mailbox Not Found, Invalid mailbox, User unknown:

b. Mailbox unavailable:

c. Mailbox full or Quote Exceeded:

d. Host unknown, Domain Lookup Failed:

e. Message too large

 

We would like to ask a copy of delivery status notification you've received for us to investigate your concern. To do this, please follow these steps:

 

1. Open the e-mail message.

2. Click the arrow-down beside the Reply button on the upper-right corner of the message.

3. Choose the View message source option on the dropdown menu. You will be seeing a new window containing the e-mail message headers and its content.

 

After doing so, kindly post the message source in the private message that I have started with you with all the components of the bounce message such as:

 

> Final-Recipient

> Action

> Status

> Diagnostic-Code

 

Note:  You need to sign in to this website and click "You have a private reply to this message." in order to see the private message.

For us to better understand your concern and investigate it, Please provide us the complete message header of the bounce message that you have received. To do so, please follow the steps below:
1. Login to Outlook.com
2. Open the delivery status notification email.
3. Click the ellipsis (...) button and the select View message source option on the dropdown menu. You will be seeing a new window containing the e-mail message headers and its content.


Kindly give the following:

Status:

Diagnostic-Code:

Upon checking the status code that you've provided, I found out that the recipient's email address mailbox is almost full. If it is possible to contact the recipient in other way and inform that his/her email address' mailbox is almost full that is why you can't send emails to his/her email account.
