You know, if you don't like Outlook.com then there are other choices. You could even use Gmail if you are desperate.

There are mega problems with switching to a different email service:

   - changing all important documents that contain my current email address (resumes, etc.)
   - notifying all people who have my current address (too many to count)
   - losing all the Hotmail/Outlook folders with saved emails
   - having yet another "look" and rules to learn to with my new email
   - etc.

People don't usually like change and it sounds like a lot of people aren't happy with having to change from something they were comfortable with to this new Outlook that appears to have few improvements.

I would like to know what was so wrong with Hotmail that it needed to be changed.  Why not just make the improvements to Hotmail, rather than inventing a new email service?  This sounds a lot like a "make work" project for idle MS staffers, with us poor users being the only group of people to suffer.
