Hotmail Blank white screen

For three days now, I've only had a blank white screen when logging into my hotmail/outlook email. The top of the screen that says "outlook" and "new" shows, but everything else is blocked. I've tried resetting my password and spent hours troubleshooting with outlook to no avail. My daughter has a hotmail account and accesses it on the same computer, so I know its not my browser. I was finally able to get a request through to technical support yesterday, but I have not heard back. I gave them my gmail account for an email response. Can anyone advise me how to get access to my hotmail account, as I have pending emails that are quite important. Thank you!

KG

All users are (Or have) been changed over to the new "outlook.com" interface.  Yours should look like this.  Does it?

Hello,
Thank you for your reply.
It did. Now it has the blue top portion and everything else is a blank white screen. I've tried clicking on "new" and it looks like it will allow me to compose an email briefly before it becomes a complete white screen.

What exactly are you trying to do??

Outlook.com is new and changes to it are being made.
Since it a new and a different system the fastest way to learn where things are is to look around a bit.
Check all the menu pull downs, see what is where.
Most of the Hotmail functionality is still there just in different places.
The menus in Outlook are context driven.
That simply means they change to give you the options you need at that moment.
When you first open Outlook.com there are only 2 things you can do.
You can click "new" and the menu will change, or you can click on an email, and again the menu will change to help.
Some things are not very obvious like clicking the "to" button once gives favorites, twice gives all contacts.  That also applies to CC & BCC
Also if you click the "#" in the list it displays the letters of the alphabet to choose from.
Some things are more obvious like forwarding is under reply.
You can also right click the message then click forward

Hello.

What I'm trying to do is use my email account. It suddenly became blocked with a white screen. I am proficient in the use of this email system; however, there is a system error or block that has rendered my account useless.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Have you tried another browser?  Another computer?

The first step in any troubleshooting is to clear the browser cache/cookies.
*For Internet Explorer browser & MSN Butterfly: Press CTRL+SHIFT+DEL simultaneously and click Delete
*For Google Chrome: Press CTRL+SHIFT+DEL simultaneously and click Clear Browsing Data
*For Firefox: Press CTRL+SHIFT+DEL simultaneously and click Clear Now
(other browsers are similar)
If clearing the cache doesn't help answer these.

Are you accessing your mail via a web browser or email client?  See the differences between them here
Are you having problems accessing other accounts on the same computer?
Does the same problem exist when you use a different browser?
Does the issue persist on other computers?

Hello,

I upgraded my browser, but do not think it is the browser or computer as my daughter has been using this computer to access her hotmail account.

I also deleted cookies, ran a security check and since I've received your emails to my gmail account, there seems to be no issue with this computer.

I had this problem and tried some of the suggestions mentioned with no success. Then I uninstalled Chrome and reinstalled it. Like magic, Hotmail is now working again! I suggest you try this first and avoid all the frustration.

I restored my computer to a previous date when I realized it was associated with a microsoft update. It solved the problem. Thank you for your suggestion. I'll keep it in mind if it ever happens again!
