Outlook App for Android not downloading content

After updating the Outlook app to the most recent version (released 8 Oct. 2020), every email in one of my email accounts is shown as unread and (more annoying) the content is not shown.  Outlook will download the subject line, the sender, and the date, but for the body it says "This message has no content."  If you open the email, I get a "Error loading message" notice.

My other email account works just fine.  I've tried to reset the account, but that did not work.

Is there anyway to fix this problem?

4.2039.3 did not work for me.

To resolve the issue for the time being, I downgraded to 4.2037.4 which you can easily find on the net.

Then, disabled auto update on Playstore until decent solution emerges.

Downgrading to 4.2037.4 worked for me. Thanks!

@TasmanRiver,

I just wanted to address your comment that you cannot text photos to people with I-Phones using your Samsung Galaxy S10 except by using WhatsApp.

I also have an Samsung Galaxy S10 and prior to that I had 2 other Samsung Galaxy models adding up to many years of Android and Samsung Galaxy usage.  The one problem I have never had with any of the phones was sending a text message with photos attached to people with I-Phones and they Text me back photos.

You may want to stop in to the store for your carrier (ATT, Verizon, T-Mobile) and have them address the problem.  At the store they should be able to test your phone by sending photos to an I-phone to analyze and hopefully fix the problem.

Glad to hear you have a better experience than I do with texting photos, LACyclist, and I appreciate your comments.  My problem with texting photos appears to be due to the fact that I live outside the USA and have Vodafone as my carrier.  I've talked to several levels of tech support at Vodafone who confirmed they don't support sending text photos to iPhones using e.g. Message or Messenger and recommended I use WhatsApp.   It may be a Vodafone rather than a Microsoft issue and not apply in all countries.

Using version 4.2039.4 - that does not resolve the problem. It may be getting worse.  Pixel (1), current android version, GoDaddy imap.

There is a long string of comments here now so for those that didn't have the time to read them all a fix that has worked for everyone here that tried it is installing Samsung's Email Client from the PlayStore.  It is called "Samsung Email" by Samsung Electronics.   (Credit to another commentator here who started using it before me.)

I have been using it for a week+ now and it is excellent.  Personally, I would probably not go back to the Outlook App even if it was fixed.

It works just like Outlook, can be customized in settings, easier setup, and has some features I like a lot.

I do not believe that you need to have a Samsung phone to use this App?

It should work for an Android Phone regardless of manufacturer?

It has over a Billion downloads thus far so it is well used.

Thanks for the update.  Like others, I downgraded by sideloading 4.2037.4 and its working perfectly fine for me (also disabled auto updates).  No rush to upgrade for now until its fully tested.  Curious what others are seeing though.
