can't log in to hotmail

I can't log in to my hotmail account no matter what web browser or device I use (i've tried chrome and IE in both my laptop and cell phone).

I've tried to log in to a different account using one of the devices and I had absolutely no problem.

Can you please help me?

all of a sudden I can't get into my hotmail account.  I was just there 3 hours ago - what is going on? I need to reach my family now with questions - what is wrong with this hotmail service?

The response is not helpful, there's an outage, neither phone or computer works. Whatever happens to the nice outage status page Microsoft used to have??
