Cannot sign into outlook 2016 all of a sudden

outlook working great until all of a sudden I cant sign in and screen is telling me my product is unlisenced. does anyone know what this even means? sorry if this is a silly question. not very good with computers. please help.

In order to help you effectively we need to know exactly what email system you are using. You can see the differences here

In order to find which version of the email system you are using When you log into the account using a web browser does it say outlook.com, outlook "preview" or Outlook Mail across the top?

Sorry. I'm using Outlook 2016 app from Microsoft office on Windows 8.1 64×

If that helps. I use google as my default browser

And I've noticed since this happened my computer in general is very sluggish and slow which is not usual. Im using a hp pavilion 1000 notebook

I suspect this is related to MS Office Outlook and not outlook.com (browser based) where you posted this. If I am correct please either repost this in the MS Office category for the version you have by using the category tab at the top of the page, or move this thread there.
