Cannot log in to email account.

Dear Microsoft,

I can't login to my email. When I login I get the following error message:

To isolate your concern, please provide the following information:
1. Which version of Outlook are you using? You can refer to this link for guidance.
2. Which type of account do you have? Is it a POP, IMAP, Exchange ActiveSync or Exchange?

I tried to login on www.outlook.com. The email client I have is the standard email app for Windows 10.

Both failed.

To troubleshoot the issue, we suggest that you delete the account then add it again by following the articles below:
Delete an email account from Mail and Calendar apps
Set up email in Mail for Windows 10

This is a known issue and as a work around, you must create an alias and use that for the mean time.

-Log in to  https://account.live.com using your account, go to "Your info" tab and click on "Manage how you sign in to Microsoft".
-Enter your password and last 4 digit number of your phone or alternate mail, enter the code once received.
-After that, you should be able to see the page where you can add an alias, either create new or use a 3rd party email. Set the new one as primary.

-Log out of the page, restart your browser and go to http://www.outlook.com and log in using the newly created alias. Use the same password.

*Note: This is just a workaround for this type of issue. Once the issue is fixed, you can set your old account as primary again.

I can't imagine I am the only one with this problem.
