sync issues with yahoo account and Outlook

I have synced my yahoo account with my outlook account and all of the folders I have in Yahoo are showing in outlook but they are all empty.

Why is this happening?  I can't tell if they are slowly updating or if nothing is happening.  Some connection must have been made for the folder names to show up.  I need to do this quickly as I only have until Thursday until my Yahoo account closes.  It's a BT Yahoo account and I am leaving BT and really don't want to pay £7.50 per month for a rubbish email service.

Hi BusyMummy76,
Are any folders syncing? It can take time for the subfolders to finish syncing, but selecting a folder should start the sync within a few minutes.

If you change the view on one folder - do the messages?

Ok, that is the app on the phone. Do you have a desktop computer? if you need to save these messages forever, it will be easier on a desktop.

Do you have the app set to sync everything or just the last nn days?

Hi Diane,

It shows the same on the desktop version.  I couldn't see anywhere to select different things to sync.  I can't see any indication that anything is syncing and no errors are showing in the sync settings area.

Are you using the Mail app or Outlook that comes with Office?

i would not use the mail app if you want to keep the mail. It doesn't export to a usable format.

Hi,

I'm now using it as part of office 365 and the connected accounts now says 'update in progress'

Does that sound more promising?

Thank you so much for your help, by the way

It sounds promising, but I'll believe it when it actually starts syncing all of the folders.
