Hi Saraubitz,
Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community.
I am sorry to know that time zone on Outlook account defaults to PST even if you change it to CST.
How are you trying to access your account, by using a browser or an email client?
If it is a browser, then try to change time zone using a different browser.
Make sure that the system date is also set correct.
- Press Windows Logo Key+X. Then click on Control Panel.
- Click on Date and Time.
- Click the Date and Time tab, and then click Change date and time.
- In the Date and Time Settings dialog box, do one or more of the following:
- To change the hour, double-click the hour, and then click the arrows to increase or decrease the value.
- To change the minutes, double-click the minutes, and then click the arrows to increase or decrease the value.
- To change the seconds, double-click the seconds, and then click the arrows to increase or decrease the value.
- When you have finished changing the time settings, click OK.
- To change the time zone, click Change time zone.
- In the Time Zone Settings dialog box, click your current time zone in the drop-down list, and then click OK.
Then try to change time zone on Outlook also.

Hi,
Sorry to know that issue still persists, try to delete browsing history and check if it helps.
Delete browsing, search and download history on Firefox:
Then set the time zone and get back to us with the results.

I deleted my entire history in firefox.
I then logged back into my MSN account. Confirmed my basic info > personal settings were set to CST. I actually changed it to PST. Created a new calendar entry. It created in PST.
Then I changed it back to CST. Closed out, logged back in. Confirmed it said CST. Created a new calendar entry and it STILL defaults to PST in my calendar.
Other ideas? This is very frustrating.

Hi Sauraubitz,
Thank you for the reply. Sorry to know that, you are having issues with Calendar time zone.
The time zone set on account.live.com is different from the Calendar.live.com.
Need to go to calendar.live.com and click the cog icon and click on options and change the time zone from the Calendar in order to get the Calendar reflect the time zone you want.
Hope this helps.
Please get back to us with the results to assist you further.

I have the same problem and have followed everything I have found online and that I know to do. I have taken screen shots of everything and hope this will help you to resolve my issue.
I have a problem with my calendar that I cannot figure out. Can anyone help me figure it out? I have everything set for Central time zone, as it should be, but when I share the calendar via the link provided, through Outlook.com, it comes up as Pacific time, showing all appointments 2 hours earlier than they actually are. I have spent an entire day trying to fix this issue and have exhausted all of my ideas and the extent of my knowledge. Can you help me resolve this? This are the current settings in Outlook.com |
And here is how it appears when you click on the link provided, notice it says Pacific Time.
This is the email I received about a meeting tomorrow. The time is listed correctly here.
This is how my Calendar appears in MS Outlook, the way I set it up, and in Central Time.
And here are my settings in Outlook.
I then came here and checked this forum and found someone else having the same issues and followed all of your suggestions. I checked both my live and Calendar settings and they are both set to CST. Here is my settings in Microsoft.
Notice that the time zone is indeed set to Central (CST).
I have noticed that when I search for an address in my browser it lists my location in California so I went on Facebook and shared the calendar link with all of my contacts and asked them to tell me what time zone they were in and what the time zone of the calendar was. All 200 stated it read Pacific Time. Here is the link of the calendar. https://sharing.calendar.live.com/calendar/private/2edae9da-b194-4e2e-a200-04df03432613/a623a557-ab7e-49de-a10c-25e7de99b13e/cid-cc4c05dbe51b9e70/index.html
When I just click on the “my live.com” link, that calendar is correct.
Here is how it appears, and all times listed there are in CST so the only problem is with the link and that is what I need to fix the time for.
Thank you,
Andrea J.
