Your ICloud Storage Is Full

Hi there

Users of Microsoft based email addresses such as Outlook, Live and Hotmail such as me have been receiving this stupid email, claiming to be from Apple. It states that your ICloud storage is full, and you need to click a button to unlock more storage. This button then takes you to a fake Apple log in page. You enter your Apple ID and password, then your Apple account gets compromised. I don't have any Apple products, so I just ignore these emails. It appears Faye Hemmingway from Croatia is sending these emails, and only to Microsoft email addresses. So Faye, stop it. My Aunty Gina uses Hotmail, and she's got these same silly Apple ICloud storage scam emails. My cousin Jack hasn't received such an email. He's on GMail. Faye Hemmingway likes targeting Microsoft users with spam, scam and just rubbish. These spams and scams have interfeered with the spam and scam filters on the email address associated with the account this question is being posted from. As a result, important emails from my brother and eBay and Australia Post are sometimes being automatically deleted, or completely discarded before I even see them. So as a result, a new Outlook account was created which has not yet been leaked to these spammers and scammers, especially the ones claiming to be Apple ICloud. And of course, everything is arriving at my new email address with Outlook safely, and in the inbox and not deleted. So now the Live Mail account, receiving all these spams and scams, causing emails from senders to fail to arrive and emails I send to bounce back is now just used for Quora. Quora emails make it safely to my old email address, so Quora has not yet been switched over to the new email address. So Faye Hemmingway, leave us Outlook users alone, stop pretending you're Apple ICloud, and stop compromising Apple IDs.

Hello, snakey1990.

Dealing with scam emails is a nasty and tedious endeavor. However, it is important to be cautious when receiving emails that ask for personal information or login credentials. Microsoft has security measures in place to help protect users from these types of scams, but it's always a good idea to be vigilant and not click on any suspicious links or provide personal information unless you are certain it is a legitimate request.

Unfortunately, some scam emails may still slip through. Thus, here are some steps you can take to reduce the amount of spam you receive:

1. Mark the email as spam using the steps in the link below. If you receive a spam email, mark it as spam. This will help our servers learn what types of emails you consider spam and improve its filtering.

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/block-senders-or-mark-email-as-junk-in-outlook-com-or-outlook-on-the-web-a3ece97b-82f8-4a5e-9ac3-e92fa6427ae4

2. Use the "Block" feature as described in the link above. If you receive an email from a specific sender that you do not want to receive emails from again, you can block them. To do this, open the email, click on the three dots in the top right corner, and select "Block".

3. Use rules to filter emails using keywords. Refer to the link below.

I appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to resolve this issue.

Sincerely,
