I would like to know how to get rid of a task/tool bar that keeps showing up on the left side of my outlook email window.
See image below, the icons on the far left. I am using Microsoft Outlook for Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2202 Build 16.0.14931.20118) 32-bit
on Windows 10x64

Its simply the sub menu which you apparently inadvertently moved as by default it would show as a submenu to the Lwr left of the main OL screen

It looks like it is a coming soon feature in outlook. I was able to remove this by turning off the “coming soon” feature and restarting outlook.
There is a previous post with this appearing in the free version last year. Users did not appear to have much luck removing the "feature". We may be stuck with it when it is fully released.

Correct. That link is just for more information where it illustrates that this has been in development for some time. The link also illustrates that once the feature is fully released it may not be able to be disabled.
The screen print illustrates the locally installed Office 365. Try turning off the "coming soon" function and restarting Outlook. This worked for me when it started showing up after the latest updates.
