Unknown Profile Photo on Sent E-mail.

I changed my profile display picture in outlook several times and it's reflecting correctly when I check my Outlook profile and account but whenever I send an email, the recipient sees an unknown display picture that I've never set as DP. I don't even recognize the picture it displays to the recipient. There are no accounts such as Facebook or LinkedIn or any other linked to this account. This picture is not used on any account I have anywhere and is not even on my computer or mobile. I've tried to send an email to different recipients just to check and the unknown display picture shows up to all the recipients. I want to get it removed, please help.

Photo A = Correct and recent display Picture

Photo B = Incorrect and unknown display picture shown to recipients of the email.

Hello Aman, thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Community. I am here to help and provide assistance with any questions or concerns you may have.

The problem of a changed profile picture not appearing as updated to the recipient is a common issue that is not necessarily related to the picture itself.

On your end, you have successfully updated your profile picture and it appears as intended to you. However, the recipient may be seeing a different picture due to certain factors:

1. The recipient may have saved the sender's contact information with a different profile picture, which overrides any updates made by the sender.

2. The recipient's contact list may contain other random pictures, which can also override any changes made by the sender to their profile picture.

Please, try sending another email to another contact or to another email you own and see if the image keeps appearing.

Hi Phillip,

I already tried sending an email to different contacts and even to my Google email account and the same image keeps appearing to the recipient. I've even raised a case with Microsoft [Customer Support case ID is 1479145589] but didn't hear anything from them yet.

Thank you very much for following up.

The situation is peculiar. It's typical for Microsoft to take some time to respond due to the high volume of requests they receive. However, don't be concerned, your case will likely receive a reply.
