Unable to open SMIME attachment

I have configured my Gsuite account in Outlook for Mac and able to open Smime encrypted emails. But unable to open attachments from .mil domains

Somehow the attachments are converted to Smime.p7m. These attachments work fine gmail web...Also checked that it works fine in Default Mac Application.

Hello Abhishek,

 

First please make sure that you have installed the S/MIME control.

 

1. Make sure you have installed S/MIME certificate on your Mac. 

2. Close and restart Outlook client.

3. Go to Outlook > Preferences > Accounts > Select your account > Advanced > Security.

4. Under Digital signing, select the S/MIME certificate from the drop-down menu.

5. For Signing algorithm, set the default value to SHA-256.

6. Under Encryption, select the S/MIME certificate from the drop-down menu.

7. For Encryption algorithm, set the default value to ASE-256.

8. Under Certificate authentication, select the S/MIME certificate from the drop-down menu.

9. Click OK.
