Unable to add Member Account in MSN Premium

Whenever I try to add an additional member account in MSN Premium (I can add up to 10 accounts), I keep getting the same error message:


ErrorFailed to add *** Email address is removed for privacy *** to your membership. If this problem persists, please contact customer support. (Error Code: 0x80045024)

I hope this service isn't down, since this is the only reason I am willing to pay for MSN Premium

Hi, I'm Diane and I'm happy to help you today. Are you trying to add a new user to the MSN subscription (separate mailbox), not another alias to your own account, correct? Does the address you are trying to add exist already? Try logging in using a private browser window to do. If it works, you need to clear the browser cache and cookies. To open a private browser window, right-click on the browser icon on the taskbar and choose the option for a new private or incognito window. If you are trying to add a new alias to your account, do it from https://account.live.com/names/manage As an FYI, if you have 6 or fewer users, a Microsoft 365 Family subscription might be a better deal and it includes the office software. I have tried in Incognito and still the same error

Yes, I am trying to add a a new member to my MSN Premium account with a new @msn adress trough https://membercenter.msn.com/UserManagement.aspx

Doesn't seem to be working

hey there! did you find a solution? please let us know, I've been trying for days to fix this. thinking maybe my account is the problem? I've contacted Microsoft support and let them screen connect to my computer, they couldn't help either. Please let us know if it's some temporary error related to Msn servers or something else.

Has a solution been found? If not, is there any timeline when we could see a resolution to this issue? As of today, this problem also persists on my account, and so far anyone else I've spoken to are also unable to add a new account as well.

Error Code 0X80045024 when attempting to add new msn.com account to msn premium paid service

Trying to add an additional msn.com email to my paid msn premium subscription email service. Setup goes through all the steps up until completing final submit, then gives the (0x80045024) error code. I tried deleting another account, and was successful; in order to see if that was the issue even though I was only using 5 of my 10 allotted accounts. Now i cannot even recover that account. Tried on 2 different Windows 10 PC's with the same error code result. Then tried the butterfly through my Windows 7 machine that was working with the email that I last used a few months ago, When attempting to log onto the Windows 7 machine; it will not go beyond the initial account into the password login window. The box does not pop up to enter a password and remains blank. Tried the suggestion of uninstalling the program in Windows 7 PC & re-installing; however end up with the same result (password window does not pop up. It is extremely urgent that I create another account, due to i am going to lose access from another account, that I need to tranfer many of my contacts to a new account under msn.com. Please advise ASAP on a solution for this service that i am paying for. According to this feed, this problem has been going on for nearly 2 months.

As of May 5th, 2024 this issue persists and there has been no update. Can someone give us an idea when this is supposed to be resolved?
