Trouble logging into Authenticator App

I am trying to login to the Authenticator app on my phone but when I enter my username and password it asks me to open the authenticator app to enter the number that it shows on the screen. I assume this is because I had 2 Factor Authorization enabled on my old phone from which I have upgraded from and as a result cannot login to the App.

Is there anything I can do personally to solve this issue or will I have to wait for support to get in contact with me?

If you are unable to access your account, you should contact your administrator for assistance in resetting your account verification method. Because since we're from the community team and we don't have those resources to reset any user's verification method. The user only needs to contact the administrator. Therefore, it is suggested to contact your university administrator and ask the administrator to reset the multi-factor authentication method.
