The To Do Tasks list not loading in the Outlook app

Something has changed with activating the To Do list from Outlook. Before, from reminder notifications or the To Do tasks list in the right panel from the email view, clicking on the task would open up To Do in my default browser. Now, clicking on the task will try to open up the To Do task list in the Outlook app itself. But the list just does not load!

The message 'We are getting your task list ready..." appears in the To Do section of the Outlook app, but nothing loads.

  • May I know when this issue started to occur?

  • May I please confirm that you get same situation in both outlook for Desktop and Outlook on Web (https://outlook.office.com)?

  • May I know if you are using Classic Outlook or New Outlook?

  • Would you mind to kindly provide the screenshot of the classic outlook version are you using? Kindly go to File-->Office Account

  • Would you mind providing the video of your scenario and the screenshot of the error you are experiencing via private message for the Privacy of your data? I would like to make some more consultations on this issue from my end as well.

I am having the same issue. It's the New Outlook. The To Do doesn't load in both the desktop version and the web version.

I am having the same problem with Outlook 365 on my Windows 10 64-bit computer.

Sorry, but the Outlook Calendar and Tasks module still failes to match the convenience of my hand-written diary.

Incidentally, years ago there was an excellent Windows app with Calendar and Notebook modules, whose windows looked like a desktop diary and organiser. Alas, it didn't have an Email module.

It was Lotus Organizer - in the Lotus SmartSuite program group.

I suggest you look at Organizer, to see how a Windows desktop organiser can be as good as a physical diary.

>> I still use the Notebook part of Organizer - to keep my user ID password settings for many websites, offline on my own computer, with a back-up on my portable hard-drive. I do not like keeping my passwords in an online password-manager - too much of a security risk.

I am having the same issue. In the desktop app To-Dos don't appear at all and i get a blank screen.

On the web version I can see the items in Tasks, Planned and Flagged email but I get a blank screen under All

On my Iphone and ipad To-Do apps seems to be working fine.

I have ADHD and finding an app that helps me manage my workload is critical. I have explored many applications and MS To-Do is very close to fulfilling my needs but this bug is not allowing me to implement a complete workflow. Would really appreciate your help in getting this sorted.

Unfortunately I am not able to provide screen shots right now as I assume our network administrator has blocked this but I am answering your questions from a previous post to see if that would help in getting to the route of the problem

May I know when this issue started to occur? Its been a few months since I have been using MS To-Do

  • May I please confirm that you get same situation in both outlook for Desktop and Outlook on Web (https://outlook.office.com)? Desktop yes, and a complete blank screen. On the web version it is the view "All" option that comes up with a blank. Iphone and ipad apps seem to be fine

  • May I know if you are using Classic Outlook or New Outlook? New Outlook
