Spam

I receive over 100 spam emails per day. I don't want to exaggerate, but maybe closer to 200. Each is from a different email address and there are very few repeats of domains in the actual address.

I have noticed that the links in each of the emails point to the same 3 or 4 domains

nesmonst.com

Vertical-aff.com

are the main culprits

so,

I can block each and every email address which is pointless as each has a unique address

I can laboriously type each domain name into the filter (there appears to be no easy way of doing this) in the hope that I stop some of the spam coming through

but there is no way of blocking emails with links to the same domain?

Hello! I am an Independent Advisor, I would love to help you out!

You could do this using rules.

If you go to settings > mail > rules
You can create a new rule then if those domains:
nesmonst.com
Vertical-aff.com
Are in the subject or the body you can set the add a condition to "subject or body includes" the domain.
Then add another condition with the other domain and so on for each of the main domains.

For the action you can set it to "mark as junk", then add another action to delete it.

Hope this helps!

If those messages are arriving in the Junk Email folder, Microsoft considers that as blocked. Rules don't work in the Junk Email folder, only the Inbox.

Thanks Brian. That explains why Outlook isn't doing what I expected with the rules.

Microsoft needs to do a better job of blocking these senders/domains in the first place!

The amount of Junk Mail I receive as jumped from 30-40 a week to 400-500 a week!!!  This all started a few weeks ago.

Why isn't Microsoft able to step and READ these posts in the Community??

The Block function when in the Junk Email folder seems to be working again, but as you say, so many addresses are unique and if the Block function keeps a list somewhere, I can well see it filling up very quickly

I did a "whois" lookup to see where all the domains that are sending Junk Mail into our Outlook accounts are registered to....and every single time it showed WWW.DYNADOT.COM

This company is hosting companies/people that knowingly spread and send millions of Junk Mail into our accounts every day.

You can report abuse and examples of the Junk Mail to this email address:

*** Email address is removed for privacy ***

They even have a section on their website where you can report Spam too:

https://www.dynadot.com/spam_policy.html

I already sent examples to them, so hopefully they can take action and shut these people down.

I was getting the same thing.  What was really odd was these were coming from an Amazon server.  Not sure what was going on but using a highly secure web, typed in http://unsub.vertical-aff.com/ and entered my email address.  The emails stopped in one day.

And they are "sorry you are leaving us".  Never had my permission in the first place.  I wonder where they got my addresses.
