S/Mime settings on Outlook Web App wont Load

Windows 11 Microsoft Edge

The S/MIME settings page on the Outlook Web App gets stuck on loading indefinitely. I have already installed the S/MIME extension to Microsoft Edge and added the webmail URL to the extension settings.

Hi, I'm Diane and I'm happy to help you today. Does it work if you log in using a private browser window? If it works, you need to clear the browser cache and cookies. To open a private browser window, right-click on the browser icon on the taskbar and choose the option for a new private or incognito window. Did the Exchange admin upload the SSL certificate? Hello Diane,

My certificates are stored locally and function properly on a different computer that is working.

The settings page does load when using an InPrivate window.

Clearing the browser cache and cookies did not solve the problem.

Removing the Microsoft S/Mime Extension allowed the settings page to load. The page then directed me to reinstall the Microsoft S/Mime Extension.

After reinstalling he Extension and adding the webmail domain to the extension options in edge://extensions the problem reoccurred.

When enabling the S/MIME extension to run in InPrivate mode, the problem persists in InPrivate.

To me this clearly seems to be an issue with the Edge extension.

Thanks

Brian

>> The settings page does load when using an InPrivate window. << Is that a typo? If it loads in a private browser, it is a security setting in Edge that is not enabled in a private session.

Had this same issue today.

Hitting F5 and reloading Outlook Web got the extension working for me.
