Setting Up Outlook.com account on Android - Manually

I am trying to setup an Outlook.com account on my wife's Android phone (S21 with OS 11). I tried add account >Exchange and entered info but get message that I need to use Add account - Outlook. It is a long story but that is not working properly for her and the account does not show up in the list of account, but Outlook app works. Since the account does not show up in the list of accounts, the data cannot be seen by other apps that I need to see it. So I want to setup the account manually but I get a prompt for some info that I do not know:

I need:

Domain\Username (I know the user name but not Domain)

Server

I assume that port 443 and SSL/TLS are correct

Would appreciate your help

Hi. I'm Brian and I will do my best to help you.

Does her Outlook.com address use a Microsoft domain? That is, does the address she uses to log into Outlook.com end in @hotmail.com, @msn.com, @live.com, or @outlook.com? If not, have her add an alias ending in @outlook.com to the mailbox, then use that address to connect using the Outlook for Android app.

We can't see any addresses. The forum software obscures them. Just state the domain.

I'm not sure why you wish to use IMAP with Outlook.com because if you allow Outlook for Android to configure the account automatically, specifying an "Outlook.com" account type, you'd get an Exchange connection which would sync calendar, contacts, and mail. Have you tried allowing Outlook for Android to autoconfigure the account?

As I said in my original email, it is complicated but I want to setup the outlook.com manually but as an exchange account. So I would appreciate all of the manual settings I need to accomplish the setup.

I don't know the manual settings and Outlook for Android won't show that information for an Exchange account. I'd try "Microsoft" (no quotes) for the domain name. I'd try either "eas.microsoft.com", "eas.live.com" or "eas.outlook.microsoft.com".

I was able to figure it out but did not write it down. I know that 443 & SSL/TLS were correct. The server I believe is outlook.office365.com and I thing the domain was either outlook or office.
