Dear, KennyCg Ong

Thank you for posting in the Microsoft Community.

I understand that you may have experienced an issue with your account being logged in by someone else, and I can appreciate the annoyance of being prompted to reset your password whenever you log in to your account, and I apologize for the inconvenience this issue has caused you.

To clarify, and please don't worry too much, when you receive your account being logged in by someone else and are trying to crack your password, Microsoft will alert you that your account may be at risk of being stolen, that's why it keeps prompting the action of needing to reset your password when you log in to your account.

In order to make sure whether it is a personal operation or not, it is necessary to verify the identity of the account. If the hacker knows your password through other methods, but can not easily enter your account, then, it will start the account verification action. Luckily, when you received the alarm, you changed your password immediately, and this action was done correctly.

Microsoft takes account security and privacy very seriously, and the meticulous account recovery process is designed to protect customers' personal information from malicious activity.

To enhance the security of your account, it is recommended that you add multiple authentication methods:

1. Log in to the Advanced Security Options page of your Microsoft account.

2. Select Add new login or authentication method, and then select the method to receive the security token.

3. We will send the security token to the new number or email for confirmation. When prompted, enter the code and select Next.

4. The next time you need a login code, you will see the new option listed.

Detailed steps can be found at the following link: Microsoft account security info & verification codes - Microsoft Support

So, all these can ensure your account security as long as the user is security conscious enough and adds other authentication methods such as Rescue Phone, Rescue Email and Microsoft Authenticator tool.

Also, while performing the above steps, use a different computer device or cell phone, if no other device is available, try switching to a different browser and enable incognito browsing mode on any browser.

I hope the above information is helpful to you. Looking forward to your reply.

Wishing you well
