Outlook.com only showing recent emails

Hi,

When I log into outlook.com on the computer (any computer)  I can only view recent email (1-2 weeks) with older emails not visible in any other folders. 

I have an iphone and a Samsung Tablet both of which have emails synced, however I can view more emails on these devices then on outlook.com. 

Can someone please advise how I can view all my emails on outlook.com? I only want 50-100 emails on my phone and tablet and would like to have all emails accessible on outlook.com.

I'm not so concerned about the number of emails on my Iphone and Tablet, it's more just ensuring I have access to all my emails on Outlook.com. 

1) Since how long are you facing this issue with outlook.com? 

It has been an issue for a few weeks now, I don't know the exact date it happened.

2) What is the model number of your tablet?

The tablet is a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4.

3) How do you access outlook.com on your IPhone? Is it through the native app or through the outlook mail app? 

I'm not sure what the difference is, however I use the standard email app that comes with the Iphone.

4) Did you set any rules on outlook.com? 

No I don't have any rules set.

I've just realised that when I search on Outlook.com (on the computer), I can find all my historical sent items however it does not show up any items that should be in my Inbox. It searches the 12 items in my inbox when there should be hundred (and no I haven't deleted them all).

Hi Daniel,

Sorry for the delayed response.

As you are using outlook.com on multiple devices, hence there is a possibility that one or other device is causing issues with emails in inbox of your outlook account.

To test the issue, try to remove outlook account from all your devices.

Using Internet Explorer, login to https://mail.live.com and check if the issue still persists.

You may also refer to the article given below and check if that helps.

I'm having this issue as well. My email history now has a chunk missing. Important emails I've lost and am unable to recover using the "Recover my emails" feature. Why did this start happening now? My smart phone is not set to delete emails so I know it isn't that but I no longer have emails for the past few months even though I know they were there 2 weeks ago. What the heck is going on?

Thanks for your reply. 

I have disabled both accounts on my tablet and phone and the problem still persists.

I've tried recovering deleted messages but it only recovers recently deleted items.

Before I disable the accounts on my phone and tablet I could search for more emails on my phone than on Outlook.Com. 

Im missing hundreds of emails some of which are quite important.

Surely this isn't the first time this hapenned?

Hello Im having the same issue. My inbox only shows 60 emails and I'm not able to access email that are older than 2 weeks. Something really weird is going on. Another strange thing is that my deleted folder shos a bunch of email that i have not deleted and when I move them to the inbox they dissapear. Please help me out this can not be happening with my email account I am extremely worried.

I had the same issue as well. I only have 2 weeks emails and emails prior to that is not there. How do I retrieve it?
