Outlook Server Settings for AOL

I have an aol account that migrated from Verizon. It has worked fine until this past week. Outlook keeps switching my email server settings from aol.com to ,mail,yahoo.com. Why and how do I stop it?
AOL didn't migrate from Verizon, it migrated to Verizon when Verizon bought AOL. Verizon also bought Yahoo. Verizon may be moving AOL mailboxes to Yahoo. DOes your email address end in @aol.com, @verizon.net, or something else?

My email address ends in Verizon.net The notification we received from Verizon said that our email address was migrating to aol and that we had to reconfigure our server settings which we did and it worked. I did read that Outlook is configured to automatically reconfigure server settings to yahoo where the email address ends in Verizon.net, however this problem happened once a year ago and this week at least 12 times because I receive a Microsoft email everytime I have to repair my settings.

Verizon hosts some verizon.net addresses on AOL and some on Yahoo. If Verizon told you to use AOL, then please do. Desktop Outlook won't automatically switch to Yahoo if you configure it for AOL manually. The server settings are:

incoming: imap.aol.com, port 993, SSL enabled
outgoing: smtp.verizon.net, port 465, SSL enabled

Make sure you use your full verizon.net address as the username and the appropriate password. See https://help.aol.com/articles/verizon-move-to-a...

Although you say desktop outlook won't reconfigure my server settings from AOL to yahoo, that is exactly what has happened 12 times. Each time I reset the server settings manually and I use the full verizon.net address.

Then I don't know what's happening. Perhaps someone else will. Sorry.
