Outlook Mail drop down list issue

Basically, I cannot use many features of Outlook Mail because the drop down lists freeze. They open in the top left hand corner of the screen and that's it. Any of the options from attachments to send, whatever drop down list I choose just freezes the program. It's a total disaster and I've had a plethora of other issues since being converted automatically to Outlook from Hotmail. Before I move to some other e-mail service, I thought I'd write and ask why .......?

If you are using a browser to access your mail more often than not you can fix the problem you are having by clearing all the cache and cookies in your specific browser

*For Internet Explorer browser & MSN Butterfly: Press CTRL+SHIFT+DEL simultaneously and click Delete
*For Google Chrome: Press CTRL+SHIFT+DEL simultaneously and click Clear Browsing Data

*For Firefox: Press CTRL+SHIFT+DEL simultaneously and click Clear Now

*For Edge they are in settings (three dots>history>clear all settings)

(other browsers are similar)

If clearing the cookies & cache cache doesn't help answer these.

In order to help you effectively we need to know exactly what email system you are using. You can see the differences here

Are you having problems accessing other accounts on the same computer?

Does the same problem exist when you use a different browser?

Does the issue persist on other computers?

Thanks for your speedy response. The drop down list from ... ( 3 dots) has no 'history' as a sub-menu. I am using Outlook Mail which I was automatically converted over to from Hotmail a few weeks back (all of a sudden).

Thanks again for your speedy reply. Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't. Sometimes the above drop down list appears properly and other times it appears in the top left hand corner (instead of below ... 3 dots. When it appears in the top left hand corner Outlook Mail totally feezes up and has to be shut down. Also the following comment you mentioned ina previous post for Edge cannot be accessed as I previously mentioned.

For Edge they are in settings (three dots>history>clear all settings)

(other browsers are similar)

Good evening. Happening really bad this evening thus making Outlook totally unusable. I wanted to attach a screenshot but cannot do so on this forum. Word docs will not attach. Total nightmare and I just have to ask, why did you ruin Hotmail? It worked so well.........

Above is a photo of the screen showing the issue. I've tried to use the "Move To' option. Instead of the drop down list appearing directly below the "Move To" downwards arrow, it appears in the top left hand corner and freezes Outlook totally. This happens with all drop down options making the program totally useless. Some days it happens, others it doesn't. Never happened when it was the old Hotmail. Any help greatly appreciated before I sadly go elsewhere for my e-mail service options .....
