Outlook keeps refreshing to a blank white page

First off, I absolutely despise the new outlook.  It seems to hate apple products.  Its fine with my PC at work (and by "fine" i mean acceptable but hardly great).  With my macbook at home i have had so many problems. 

Problem number one - can't attach any documents!! I have tried so many times and it keeps saying that there is an error.  Its not the documents, as i went right into my gmail account and had absolutely no problem attaching and sending those same docs. 

Problem number two - its not even loading!! Everytime i click a link in outlook - lets say "drafts" - it loads it fine, then disappears to a white / unloaded screen.  it does this for every single link i click - i have restarted my computer and stilllll keeps doing it.  It is extrememly frustrating as I can't even use my account! 

I am so beyond fed up with the new outlook.  If it werent for the fact that everyone knows to use my hotmail address, as its my primary account, i would have already permanently switched to just using my gmail.

I have a couple of suggestions to see if you can get Outlook to work better.

 

Firstly, make sure you have the latest version of your browser. Microsoft have a list of supported browsers:

 

  • Outlook.com is optimized for the following browsers:

    • Windows Internet Explorer 8, 9, and 10

    • Google Chrome 17 and higher

    • Firefox 10 and higher

    • Safari 5.1 on Mac

  • Outlook.com is good on the following browsers, but some features might not display properly:

    • Internet Explorer 7

    • Google Chrome 16 and 5

    • Firefox 9 and 5

    • Safari 5.1 on Windows or Safari 5 on Windows and Mac

  • Outlook.com isn't supported on the following browsers:

    • Internet Explorer 6 and older

    • Google Chrome 4 and older

    • Firefox 4 and older

    • Safari 4.x and older

     

     

     

     

    Secondly, you may have to clear your browser cache. This apparently fixes issues for many people, although I can't confirm it.

    hi my macbook pro 10.6.8 is also loading my hotmail inbox then refreshing to a blank page i cant open any files it is very frustrating how can i fix this

    Let me help you with your concern about accessing your emails in Outlook.com. By the way, have you tried optimizing your browser? If not, please try to do so. You can refer to this link. You can also refer to the post of Woodg above to check for the supported browsers in Outlook.com. Also, try to access your emails using other browsers for us to isolate the issue if it has something to do on your browser.

    Hi there, I had my version of Mac OS updated to 10.6.8, along with my browser and this seemed to help. I haven't experienced any problems since.

    I have a similar issue, displays mail and contacts ok, but calender page is blank, been happening for over a month.


    Have cleared temporary files.

    Running Windows 7 SP1, Internet Explorer 11, Silverlight 5


    Works ok with google Chrome.


    Any thoughts?
