Outlook does not show the attachments that are sent to me

Today I find a problem in Outlook because it does not allow me to see the attachments that are sent to me, it shows me a blue icon with a question mark "?" and at the top the following text cid: 9D964D79-66EB-4B0A-A6FD ...

I've been trying to solve it for some time but I can't find the problem, the version I have is, microsoft Outlook for mac v16.50 with office 365 license

Could you help me

Hello Carpanta,

I'm Diane, an Office Apps & Services MVP specializing in Outlook and an Independent Advisor.

Do you have the "new Outlook" switch on? If so, try turning it off and see if they appear.

There is apparently a bug as others have the same problem - you can report it using Help > contact support.

What is the attachment type? I'm not able to repro it here with the attachments I tested with.

Hi Diane, I have the "new Outlook" switch turned off. in this case it is the other way around when I activate the "new Outlook" switch if they show me the files but the new version is not as efficient for me

Answering your question above, it gives me the problem with all file types (pdf, xlsx, jpg, png ....)

Did it show you any problem with txt, png files?

I'm not satisfied that the new version doesn't show me that problem and only shows it in the old version.

I will appreciate any response from you and I appreciate the support provided.

No problems with the txt and png files here - I haven't had a chance to test the other file types yet.

What are you using for antivirus?
Who is your email provider? Another person with the problem is using Avast for antivirus and a gmail address. But switching to new Outlook doesn't help.
